OMG!

"Dear Diary,
today SHE said I was cute. That is all."

*ahem.

Narnia?

After the graduation ceremony, we headed on over to a cottage in the middle of the city...

Gavin's specific driving instructions,
'Keep driving on Lakeshore til you reach the __________ buildings. There's an alley there between the two buildings. Drive through the alley until you hit the cottage. If you see a crap load of sculptures, you're there.'

So we think we found the place, but we're not sure. So Bryan's like, 'Im just gonna walk down the hill and check the scene.' So he walks down and yells from the bottom 'Yea, this is it. It looks like fuckin Narnia down here.'

We were only here for like 45 mins until the bugs started eating us alive.

Bittersweet Symphony

Without a doubt, yesterday was very bittersweet.

The Remix Project graduation. Hmmmfff. Like I had mentioned before, it is a beautiful thing to graduate and know that know you will be able to put that knowledge and experience to good use in things beyond the controlled settings you've become accustomed to. But somethings are really hard to let go of, especially when its grown on you.

Remix is definitely a home away from home to me (as cliche as that sounds), and the staff and students in there are without a doubt like family to me. Its really hard to say bye when you're not ready.
Thankfully, I will be returning next round as a Youth Leader in the Creative Arts program, its just a pity that it will not be under Bryan's wing.
We held the graduation at Revival where diplomas were all handed out, where the performers took stage and art was displayed. Although the spot wasnt rammed up like a Shuffle party, the amount of love and support that was given off by the people that did attend really did feel like we were over capacity.

There's so much to say but words will never be sufficient. So for every word I miss, let my pictures speak another thousand more to you.

Thank you to the entire staff at Remix for a memorable semester. Ill be seeing you guys in the next few days. Thank you to Mon and Seven for coming with me to show support.
A special thanks to Addy, if it wasnt for you, yesterday and the last 6 months would have never happened. Thank you for your help and motivation.
Last but not least, thanks to Bryan, your presence will be severely missed, but Ill see you at the skate park! lol.

Mission: Exhaustion PART 4

So Adrift finally finished building my board.
The graphic on the board should be nothing too surprising...it would be if you lived in a cave tho (no diss to anyone who has friends or family living in caves). Check the candy paint on them trucks.

Just before the boys and I leave Adrift, Bryan stops by and tells us he's heading over to Remix and that we should roll through if we can.
So I do. Shitty thing is T-Rexxx and Noah are former skaters and took my board for over an hour...assholes did all the scrapes and damages to my board before I was able to. lol
Oh well at least now u can look at my board and say I was cool based on the damage they did to it. Every time Noah landed on the board he stared at me and laughed, he knew my heart was sinking. 'Its ok, Im breaking the board in for you.' ...thanks Noah.

Mission: Exhaustion PART 3

While we waited for my board to be built at Adrift, we just went over to a parking lot on Camden to skate and kill time.

Filming and taking pictures all at the same time. Can't be losing focus on the project, you know?

Mission: Exhaustion PART 2

So this is the second part to our Mission: Exhaustion. Its hard to be downtown without visiting certain shops and showing love to certain cats. So this post is basically for all the shops we hit up when we first got downtown.

First stop of the day was at 155 John St, where my dude, Taurean takes care of bidnez.

We headed over to Get Outside cause I wanted to cop a pair of moccasins, but of course I have to have the most common foot size in the western hemisphere...so no sizes...tisk.

Of course, we had to stop over at LS to check Los and Auggie.

We headed to Adrift right after because I finally decided to buy myself a board. Final-fuckin-ly right? Sheesh. Let the broken bone collection begin. Well lets hope not...lets hope my spidey senses will kick in everytime before I fall.

Seven says if we skate well enough, we can go to the DC nationals and win 20G's...first of all I can only steer right, so unless the nationals is all about skating in clockwise circles...theres no way we're even gonna qualify...but its good to be naive. lol

Dropped by GDFT (God Damn Fuck This...thats actually a synonym some old man gave me when he was tryna figure out what GDFT meant on a t-shirt) and Ransom to say waddup to Trevor, Jay and Andrew.
So I asked Trevor 'Why do you look so sad?' and Trevor responds 'Cuz Im black.' lmao

My 'Throw Some D's' Remix

Im so off key its amazing, but whats even more amazing is how stupid I am for posting this. lol

Where Is This?

This one might be mad tricky to figure out, but someone knew where this was at first glance.
Goodluck mudasukas.
Just leave a comment or a guess. Worst comes to worst, Ill just slap my knee, point at you and laugh...

Mission: Exhaustion PART 1

As mentioned in one of last night's posts, the boys and I have commenced production and filming for our new video project. Although the project has a lot of random elements, it is still dedicated to a certain person who has contributed much positivity to me in the last few months. I do hope this project will convey my appreciation for all you've done for me, you know who you are. *Will tips hat

Why is it called Mission: Exhaustion? Is that a real question?
lol
There were a lot of ideas and concepts that we brainstormed the evening before but due to time restrictions and the multiple fatigue attacks, production had to be halted and rescheduled for another day.
So here's part 1, the journey down there.
Ill add the other parts tmr morning when I wake up...holy fuck, its almost 4am...!

Its basically Seven and I who are going to be handling a bulk of the work. Im the photographer obviously and Seven is the videographer. The other basically contribute towards ideas, creativity and to simply just look good *pause
Introducing Seven, his legs are so hairy we call them Gorilla Pants

Vince, the guy who never made the jabawockeez.

And Moe, only the awesomest quiet cool guy ever. lol

There is a Light...

"You are headed in the right direction. Trust your instincts" - my fortune cookie from yesterday

Sparkin Ideas

After the BBQ at P's, I headed back to Sauga to chill at Seven's with Moe and Vince to discuss some ideas.

A lot of ppl think that my singing is hilarious and my videos are incredibly stupid dumb...in a semi good way...
so we sat down by the fire in his backyard on some real survivor council meeting type shit and brainstormed a crapload of ideas.

Filming commences tomorrow and the four of us will be downtown, so if you bump into us make sure to say hi so I can give you a cameo. This video was actually provoked and inspired by a particular woman that I adore. Can't tell you who, but you'll figure it out as I start posting the episodes daily.

yea...im on some shit

BBQin @ P's

If you're from the east end, then you'll most likely know my 'dai lo', P. And if you don't know P, then snap son, who do you know? (and if you don't know what 'dai lo' means...then you need to step your chinese mob vocab up, playa)

P holds a BBQ at his crib every year for the fam. Nothing extraordinary but certainly nothing ordinary either.

Recognize a real OG when you see one.

Of course you can always count on K to pull some queer shit like hop on a bike and try to get a double ride. lol

Duke Nukem

I dont know if any of you guys remember the old school first person shooter game, Duke Nukem, but this is mine and moe's tribute to it. Moe is Duke and I'm the asian monster guy in the wok hat.

the ending definitely makes my belly jiggle. lol

ps. dont mind my wardrobe...I used to wear my pj's to the call center. I would just wake up, brush, wash my face, get in my car and drive. lol

pss. notice how everyone else is working except moe and I. lmao

Where Is This?

Man, if anyone can actually figure this one out...than...I owe u a big mac...or something of that nutritional level...

ps. all these 'where is this' joints are pics I took, I aint googling this shit. Its in the city.
Be more observant to the city you call home.

Breaking News!!!

This just in, we have reports that William Nguyen has just grown his 7th chin hair.
We advise all readers to buy lottery tickets immediately.

That is all, we now return you to our regular scheduled programming.

More Phuckery at the Call Center

Once again, a video from 2 years ago.

Its not that funny, but its amazing how much non work related bullshit I used to do at work and never get in shit for. This my brother, is the way of the Flying Donkey. lol

Pre-Guvernment @ the Westin Harbour Castle

Its John's bday and he decides to be a baller baller and rent 2 rooms at the Westin Harbour Castle...good call.

My brother loves my car and offers to fill up gas and take me out to eat after if he can borrow my car while I go out...being the stingey asshole that I am, I take his offer.

Guverment was pretty nuts still...actually, it was fuckin bananas (not literally). There was an Ed Hardy bikini showcase at Skybar, girls in bikinis in hot tubs just splashing around like...lost children...lol.
D'luxe was fuckin stupid and Orange Room was pretty live too.
The best part is...I refused to take any pics while I was at Guv last night. lol
I had my cam with me, but decided to leave it behind the DJ booth. The man who holds the camera, holds your eyes. You can only see what I allow you to.
I bumped into a lot of friends last night that asked me where my camera was...
As much as it is fun for me to be a photographer (or a camera guy depending on your criteria), I dont want people to lose sight of who William Nguyen is.
Yea I drink, yea I dance, and yea I can party with a heavy crew of people that I didnt accidentally bump into at the club. The guy behind the camera has a face...this is it. You're going to have to get to know me. Its not just "you know? Will? the camera guy? the guy from sole fresh and snl?" lol.

But maybe Ill take pics for you guys next week...maybe.

This is my introduction to one of the other crews that define me, the ATK. lol Its a name that we went by from back in our teenage years. We're all grown now and do a lotta different things in our lives, but whenever I get a chance to escape the industry for a night, from all the party heads and the glam seeking folk, you'll find me with these dudes.

Meet the Nguyen Dynasty. This right here is family business.

Bats and Balls

Sounds like a funny post...really, its not quite funny at all. lol
I check my kid brother and the fam in Regent Park on the usual as most of you guys know.
So here we are...bats and balls...lol

I introduce to you my kid brother, Mike. The hardest working, young money millionaire I know.

This is my cousin, Khanh...get familiar.

now this is how a boss from the hood comes to the park. Those arent just cotton nike golf shirt and shorts, thats some dri-fit son! and them watch jordan slippers. Holla at a popcorn playa! lol

The End of the Beginning

The Remix graduation is this upcoming Tuesday, and my feelings about it is very bittersweet.
Graduation for me has always been more of sad thing than happy. Yea, it feels good to finally be able to complete something you've started and hold it in your hand and feel some sort of completeness.
But on the other side, all that you have become accustomed to is soon ending; The familiar faces, fixed routines and what not. It marks the end and the beginning of something different. Change is good sometimes, but its not always as easy to adapt or accept.

Ive been at the Remix Project now for 8 months and as cliche as this may sound, it has changed the way I see my life and my plans for pursuing my dreams (or reality).

I give a special thanks to Gavin, Drexx, T-Rexxx, Noah, Amanda, Future and Che. But the most important person to me in that facility is Bryan.

Unfortunately Bryan, my vocabulary and capacity to articulate will never be adequate in describing how thankful I really am, but here goes:

I thank you sincerely and deeply. Your triumphs in life and achievements in your career have been a great inspiration for me. I thank you for always making the time to hear me out and giving me your opinions even when they were the opposite. Even though I have failed both you and myself quite frequently, I appreciate that you always believed in me and my abilities; That I could be more than what I am and that I just needed more discipline and focus. Thank you for not giving up on me and always pushing me to do better. Thank you for seeing things in me that I could not by myself.
There is so much I want to say, but this may get mad sappy...and plus I'm having a very difficult time phrasing it in a comprehensive manner.
But I hope this is just the end of the beginning, for I hope that this brotherhood of ours will only grow as time progresses. Next semester will not be the same without you, but I wish you the best in all your endeavors and in your pursuit of happyness. Your presence and teachings will be missed.

To my teacher, my mentor, my friend, my brother, my inspiration...
my thanks.

More Call Center Battles

This was also recorded over 2 years ago while I was a supervisor at the call center.

I would like to introduce you to Claudia...she may be beautiful with her light grey eyes, fair skin and brown hair but be aware, but beneath the skin lies a monster...a monster that needs...ummm...
not sure what she needs...but Im sure I served (no perv intended)

Will vs Claudia pt 1
ps. this was sorta my Nacho Libre accent...but when I listen to it now, it sounds nothing like Nacho.
So excuse the accent...and laugh cuz its dumb...or just press pause and...disown me or something?

Will and Claudia pt 2
this is only funny in the beginning, after the first 30 seconds or so it gets quite dull, so feel freeze to stop it shortly after

Now introduce you to Grace, another shiftleader...shes a lot smaller...but very strong.
but of course I just kung-fu grip her wrists and deal with her case...the thing with Grace is she doesn't like to lose.

and hear the girl saying 'I have a caller on the line, Will!' ... like I give a flying duck. lol

Will vs. Grace and Monica

Grace couldnt handle me herself she got some help and dealt with them both.
yea and I really did do a lotta damage to Grace's wrist. Apparently it was bruised for 5 days after this was filmed.

Midnight Skate

Skateboarding is dangerous...but only if you skate in boat shoes...
not clever at all, but do I look like a donkey that gives a cluck?

Call Center Fun

When I used to work at the call center (about 2 years ago) I was a Supervisor/ Dispatcher/ Inbound rep, but I slacked like a motherfucker. Moe and I just used to make mad amounts of films (pause)

if you're wondering how the hell I could fuck around like this and not get fired...its cause my cousin was the manager. lol.

So this is a 2 part fight between Joanne and I...commentary and filming by Moe.

Part 1

Part 2

mtv CRIBS - Chris Petiza

This was recorded over 2 years ago as well.

It makes me laugh sorta...

Where Is This?

I'm an Urban Geography Major and I like photos.
So from time to time, I'm gonna post a picture of some random places and I need you guys to guess where it is. And I want precise answers, like an actual address, or an intersection. Good luck.

Mad love to Drizzy for the post.

More Than Words Can Say...

To those of you who don't know, I hereby introduce you to Falesha, one of the most interesting people in my life. If you know me, than you know her, if not in person than at least through my words.

Needless to say, I had an awesome time today. We checked out a few costume shops downtown today to prep for a very special shoot we're planning. Can't give you details. You'll just have to wait.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR...lmao

Some people have come up to me in recent days and have asked,

'Hey Will, why do you only wear white tees and jeans nowadays, what happened to your sneaks, the colorful graphic tees? Why so plain?'

I take a more simplistic approach to my life and my clothing nowadays. I stay simplistic so I can reduce judgments about me ahead of time and avoid being categorized. I've decided to keep my clothing blank and clean, like a canvas. I'm allowing people to paint their own image of me; A painting that can only be rendered true once you have taken the time to know and understand me.

I welcome you to my world, my Willderness. And please, pick up your palettes whenever you're ready.
